Baofeng BF-F8HP PRO Tri-Band Ham Radio, Clear English Menus, 1,000 Memories, Updatable Firmware, Airband & NOAA Reception, USB-C Charging
BF-F8HP PRO · TRI-BAND AMATEUR RADIO
Clear menus. 1,000 memories. Useful updates.
Keep home, travel and club channels in named zones, then switch groups without rebuilding your channel list. See channel names with frequencies and make common changes from clear English menus. U.S.-based BTECH support is available.
Clear menus from day one. Improved after launch. Make it yours.
BTECH refined the English menus and direct on-radio controls so common changes are easy to find. Released updates let you scan selected zones together and temporarily skip a busy channel without changing your saved list. Dual Watch checks two selected channels in turn using one receiver; it does not receive both at once. With BTECH CPS and a separately sold PC03, you can also add a custom startup image and customize the radio's voice-prompt packs.
Practical control, right on the radio
Menus that make sense.
BTECH refined the clear English menus for common channel and zone changes directly from the radio. Reach out to support for prompt help!
1,000 memories. 10 zones.
Keep your zones like home, travel, club, event, simplex, and receive-only channels in separate named groups.
Scan and link selected zones.
Just because your channels are zoned separately does not mean you cannot scan and link multiple groups together. Choose and link scan zones together.
Name + frequency, either way.
Choose Name + Frequency in the two-channel view. Or turn Dual Watch off and simplify use with Single Watch with a channel's name, zone, and frequency.
More capability when you need it
Three amateur bands.
Valid amateur authorization is required to transmit on amateur frequencies in the U.S.; transmit only on supported bands within your privileges.
Airband AM + NOAA receive.
Listen to Airband AM and 10 U.S./Canadian weather channels. Receive-only. NOAA alerts are not automatic.
Direct location sharing.
Exchange location between BF-F8HP PRO radios on one channel. The location screen plots the approximate distance and direction of configured radios.
USB-C charging. IP54.
Charge the battery by USB-C or with the dock. IP54 means limited dust/splash resistance; not waterproof.
Start on the radio. Build larger plans on a computer.
Make common changes from the keypad. For larger plans, connect the separately sold PC03 and use BTECH CPS or supported CHIRP-next. Use BTECH CPS for updates; match the file to the radio's NRF/NRFB and follow BTECH instructions. USB-C charges the battery.

- MENUS THAT MAKE SENSE. 1,000 MEMORIES. 10 NAMED ZONES. Built for amateur operators who want organized analog control. Use clear English menus and the full keypad for common changes; group home, travel, club, event, simplex, and receive channels as your plan grows.
- SCAN THE ZONES THAT MATTER. Choose which named zones scan together. Temporarily skip a busy channel without changing your saved scan list. Scanning is for conventional analog channels; it does not decode DMR/digital or trunked systems.
- MORE INFORMATION AT A GLANCE. Choose Name + Frequency in the two-channel view. Dual Watch alternates one receiver between the two displayed channels. Turn Dual Watch off and enable Single Watch for a full-screen view of one channel's name, zone, and frequency. Approximate dBm adds signal context.
- START ON THE RADIO. BUILD LARGER PLANS ON A COMPUTER. Make common changes from the keypad. For larger plans, use BTECH CPS or supported CHIRP-next with the separately sold PC03. Firmware updates require BTECH CPS, the PC03, and BTECH's matching instructions. USB-C charges the battery.
- TRI-BAND AMATEUR TRANSMIT. RECEIVE-ONLY LISTENING. Valid amateur authorization is required to transmit on amateur frequencies in the U.S.; use only supported amateur bands within your privileges. Airband AM, NOAA weather, and broadcast FM are receive-only.
- DIRECT RADIO-TO-RADIO LOCATION SHARING. Exchange location with another compatible BF-F8HP PRO on the same channel. It generally does not pass through repeaters or provide APRS, maps, continuous tracking, or emergency-location service.
- PUBLISHED UPDATES. EXACT-MODEL SUPPORT. Released BF-F8HP PRO updates have added or refined scanning options, display tools, Airband behavior, and controls. BTECH provides model-specific files, instructions, and U.S.-based support.
